They're also fine when used in conjunction with each other, as many people do, and as is required for the newest redesigned. Otherwise it's just a matter of design, a lot of npc edits have a similar aim, some don't, that's personal preference.(An example would be race changing, as far as I know, FCO doesn't change any NPC's ethnicity.) This can be jarring and distracting once you get used to seeing the new faces, a vanilla head will always stick out imo, and with the new release, care has gone into preserving the character of the original face whilst also improving it. Redesigned also opts to leave some NPCs as they were in vanilla, as the author sees them as being fine as they are. This has the benefit of also working great with ENBs, whereas redesigns that rely on vanilla assets lose their detail when used in combination. Eyes, eyebrows, skin, heads, hair and teeth are all brought into 2015 with high quality meshes and textures. (It does incorporate FCO (And other)assets in some cases, but is used sparingly.)įCO, is a completely overhaul of the character assets. Redesigned is a character redesign, meaning it takes vanilla assets, which are terribly low quality, and changes the proportions to be less comical/improved.
